As Employment Director for the chapter, my position is to act as a liaison between members who are looking for employment and companies who contact our chapter with open positions.
For members who are seeking new positions, I can help in the following ways:
- I will email alerts to job seekers when new positions are posted.
- Members may post a copy of their resume or a link to their resume on the website.
For companies who have accounting and finance positions they would like to fill:
- The IMA Valley of the Sun Chapter will post open positions on the website for members and for non-members.
- I will send an email notice to members that are actively looking for a new opportunity.
As the Employment Director for our chapter, I am not meant to take the place of our partnership with Jobing.com or a professional recruiter. A link to Jobing.com is at the top of this page, and Jobing.com will provide a much better list of available positions for our members than I can provide. Through the agreement with our chapter, Jobing.com also provides a discount to member companies who would like to advertise positions. We also have several excellent recruiters who attend our meetings and support our chapter, and I would urge you to contact one of them if you are seeking employment. As Employment Director, I am here to be an extra resource and to help pass information between our members who are seeking positions and to those looking for qualified candidates for positions and to help in any way I can help you.

Senior Accountant reporting to the Controller
The position could turn into an assistant controller role in the near future. This person will spend 90% of their time dedicated to working on the company’s signature property a 1.1M square foot power center. Company is located in the Biltmore area of Phoenix.

Below is a quick job description:
· Oversee all billing and collections for the Property – approx. 65 tenants
· Oversee accounts payable for all entities (excluding brokerage) – approx. 300 checks/month
· Assist Property manager with financial and operational reporting from MRI
· Prepare monthly sales tax returns for the Property
· Maintain and monitor bank balances at the Property – reconcile accounts monthly
· Prepare monthly account reconciliations for the Property – approx. 25 accounts
· Assist in preparation of Property monthly financial statements
· Assist with Property budgeting and variance reports
· Assist with Property construction loan draws
· Assist with Property annual CAM reconciliations
· Assist Controllers with special projects
